Beautiful ambience. Sick soundscape. Sounds like straight from an OST

Insane quality track right here. Damn. Some parts feel a bit empty though like at 1:10, which is a shame cus it is between two very full and great parts. I like how chaotic the melody becomes after 2:11. Good job with the granulized guitar solo, damn that goes WILD. The sudden piano after that part really felt like the sound of my speakers connecting lmao, I would have made that piano a bit softer. Fits the art well too btw

Arponax responds:

Im glad you enjoyed.

I guess i imagined simpler sounding transition at 1:10 as to depict the calm moments between many fights that protagonist went through(but thats all in my head i guess XD). When i came back to the track later and were thinking what i could change i didnt really looked at it...it felt kinda fitting with the art. (maybe using the dissonant synth from intro, in it would make it darker and more full....but now its too late :C)

Granulizing stuff is fun and always sounds dope XD im glad it came out well.

Now that you mention the piano, it feels right to have it just a bit more subtle, the transition from chaos to the calm part would be much more impactful, didnt thought of that dayum.

Anyway thanks for leaving a little feedback ill try to count some things for later projects :D

Great rock song with a high production quality. A nitpick I kinda have on this though is that in my opinion it doesn't suit the image very well. This sounds energetic and powerful, but the image is more or less eery and spooky. That's your own interpretation of course, this is just my opinion. It also gets kinda repetitive after a good while of listening to it. You could have probably completely shaved off 2:08 - 2:59, since that part didn't really feel necessary. Also a bit more dynamic in volume would've been good I think. Nevertheless it's incredibly fun to listen to, good luck with the AIM!

Heck yea! Absolutely in love with the vibes of this song. I love the fact it keeps evolving and progressing with new melodies, while still maintaining the same vibes. It sounds a lot like something Myiolophone would make in terms of complexity. Absolute great job with this.

I like the overall atmosphere this piece brings. Goes very hard and fits the art very well too. I like the part at 3:24 the most because of the gated stuff. There's a lot of repetitiveness going on here, though. And the transition at 2:07 doesn't work really well imo

PapaDumTek responds:

Thanks for listen and comments. Ya, I kind of churned this is out in a hurry. If I release it outherwise it will take a lot more work IMHO. Nonetheless, I thought it did reflect the artwork as well as I could. It was an experimental piece for sure, and not my typical style of doing things. But I like a good challenge as I feel it motivates me to step into unfamiliar territories.
Take care.

Now I must say I'm not a chiptune fan myself, but this is really good. A big point of commentary though is that it becomes very repetitive. You could try add some solos of diverse 8-bit instruments, that would help fill the 3 minutes probably a lot more.

I absolutely love the atmosphere of this piece. Pretty minimal indeed. Some more bass probably could've done wonders, especially after 1:39. I love the low notes of the singing, maybe focus on that on future pieces. Cus the higher notes tend to get out of tune slightly, which is a shame. Like at "the layout of this ROOM" is a beautiful note. But when you get at the "you remove the junk WITHIN ME" that's a bit out of tune. I love the interpretation of the art too

I absolutely love the whole progression this song offers. Also very high production quality, good job with that. Only nitpick is that the outtro is exactly the same as the intro, but that's not even that bad compared to the bigger picture. Also a great interpretation of the art, it works really well with that context

Boy oh boy this is definitely something and a halve. I absolutely love the ever changing melody, but then again I do think that the chord progression could have evolved together with the melody. Because the piano basically never changes, which is a shame if you compare it to the rest (I'd recommend you check out Azali for this). There probably could have been more bass but I'd say this is just fine for the genre. My favorite part definitely has to be the slight violin intermezzo at 1:12-1:19. Because the drums are everpresent except for that one part, that just loads it with emotional energy. Really good stuff right here.

I think that in the intro it probably would have been better if you used a felt piano, like Noir. Right now it starts off immediately very harsh on the ear. I like the strings that you used in this, very realistic and clear in the frequency. During the piece, the piano was kinda starting to annoy me, because like I said about the beginning, it's just very harsh. I absolutely love the break at 2:57. It's very unexpected, but works very well. at 3:45 you have a reverse crash going on that is relatively way lower in quality then the rest of the whole composition, with a very sharp high-end. That's quite a shame unfortunately. During the climax I think that the juxtaposition of the violin against the trombones doesn't work quite as well as you probably initially intended. That's because the trombones sound way more intense than the violin, making the climax loose it's impact at the violin parts. Also that last note of the violin as the outtro is always a good idea. But please for the next time make it last less longer because the high-end was becoming more and more sharp the longer this one note played. Really really high production value as always, but I expected nothing less from you
