Dude this is so unique, I really like this. It also fits well with the vibe from the artpiece. I like the arpeggiator a lot. This whole song sounds very inspired by "Vain Star" by Cycerin btw. It is quite repetitive though, the song. It probably would have been better if it sat somewhere at 3 minutes, except if you add more variation.

MU53 responds:

Hit the nail right on the head. I just decided to try and make my own changes here and there. Yeah I agree that it is a bit repetitive, but honestly, my ideas bin was running on empty. I might revamp this eventually, but I’ll wait until I get a free moment, since I am pretty busy right now.

Thanks for the review.

I like the metal vibe dude! Nice shit. A big point of critique I have though is that the lyrics feel really a.i. generated. If that is the case, please work on better songwriting when it comes to this genre, cus the rest you have here is really really solid.

Thanks for the feedback!
I agree that the lyrics were a little too quickly done. I usually do a placeholder recording of the vocals and then write a slightly more coherent text, but for this one I kept the placeholder on the final version. Guilty as charged haha

I like the concept of the 80's type synthwave here. I can definitely see this fitting with the image. I do think there's a severe lack of high-end, which makes it hard for me to get in the flow of this. I advise you for next time that if you wanna make something more bouncier you should put in more high-end and punch in the sub frequencies. This is also quite a repetitive piece, you could have definitely put more work in melodic variation, although I like the fairly natural key-switch.

I like the energetic vibe you have with it, but I don't really like the overly distorted drums, cus they really hold back a lot of other instruments. I like the groove in it though, but you should more careful with loudness in your mix. Cus right now you can already see by just lookin at the waveshape that there's almost no dynamics going on, meanwhile if you look into the composition you'd say there would be quieter parts here and there. The whole idea is very cool though, so good job

TY! <3

I really love the psychedelic association you made with this piece of art, I get the similarities between the song and the art instantly. I would definitely advise you to work on your vocals more though, because sometimes they're a bit off. Especially in relation to the song itself. It feels like you sang the whole song in one take and stuck with it. I advise you for next times to record indivual segments, retake them if necesarry, and just snap them on grid. There also isn't that much variation in the whole song, but that's acceptable.

I love the fact that you rapped under an art that I would never associate with hiphop at first instance, so unique combi with that. The mix is pretty full, so good job with that. But there are some parts that sounds empty again, thereby I am specifically referencing to the intro. I think that's probably what I have to say about this. I really like it for the rest, although that one choir vst is quite low quality, cus it doesn't clear enough to me. Good luck with the AIM!

Nice frog song lol. I think it would have been better if you used a lot more wet, silly instruments. Right now the whole arrangement feels a bit too serious for the image. I think that after 3:10 the whole thing starts feeling more silly again, just as I expected from frogs. Do work on the piano here and it's dynamic tho, because a consistent piano stab like this gets annoying to listen to after a while. Also where is the bass ahhhh

I like the energetic sporadic vibe this has. It has some cheesy parts like the risers to the drops. BUT THOSE DROPS THO YOOOO. The bass design is really really clean. I do think that your subs are a bit too low (hahaha it's a sub it's supposed to low), like in the quieter parts it would probably be better if you stacked an octave on top of that. Also I think that during the drops where the drums play solo it would probably be good if you gave some reverb so there's more room filled in those parts. Also I do think that outside of the drops it's quite repetitive. I'd love to see some more dynamic in that
Other than that truly a solid piece of dnb (and that's coming from a guy who's had like 5 dnb-centered frontpages lol) and a real banger.

At first I thought this was gonna be quite repetitive, but when I heard the strings got in at 0:52 I almost got goosebumps. I love love LOVE the progression this offers. I wish it would go on for a little longer. It picks itself up at 1:47 again, but it wasn't necessary to have that emptier part in the middle of those parts. I also appreciate the choice that you didn't let this build up more and more, because I know as an orchestral producer myself it's hard to resist. But for the image reference it was necessary to stay relatively calm. Great job and good luck with the AIM

This piece seems so nostalgic lol. It really gives me dj-nate vibes. I do think it's quite repetitive, especially the first drop, but that's the genre ofcourse. Also, it might seem a bit double, because the whole reason why I find this piece nostalgic is also a bad thing. That's because the instrument quality really isn't the best. It just feels a bit thin and somewhat cheesy. I would personally something more emotional with picture. Other than that it's just a huge nostalgia trip that's jolly to listen to ^-^
