Yoooo nice work!

This is very nice, although it would be a lot better if you put some more effort into making the piano more dynamic: right now it feels like a person is constantly hitting the piano very hard, which also makes it resonate a bit too much. You can see it very clearly in the audio itself: whenever the piano is gone, the db drops significantly
It's definitely somewhat repetitive as well, could use some variation
I like the strings though.

Thanks for the feedback, I will definitely try that in the future

Darude sandstorm got me like

Arcerion responds:

this is so real and true and real and true and real and true and real and true and

Hmmm the melody is kinda all over the place. A bit weird...

Quad-Kanix responds:

buddy this is an old ass song maybe look at my new stuff lmao

I really don't like the screechy nature of this song... but apart from that it's really well mixed and a good composition, so props

beenibroh responds:

I chose a screechy nature as this is a chaotic boss fight theme for a project. Thanks for the feedback tho!

So there's this kick thing that starts at 0:48 that kinda is a little bit too loud. I really like, even love how you managed to do the piano solo. And it's very loopable so that's a cool thing! Maybe it's because of the 2 hours (I wouldn't have been able to make this in 2 hours), but the overall quality of the percs and drums seem a tad low, I'm sure with some effects over it, it would definitely work for a good fixer-upper.

Interloping responds:

My percussion is actually just the standard DAC Drumset from the Sega Megadrive, so its naturally going to sound a bit cheap, but the cymbal crashes are from the Megaman Battle Network 5 drumkit specifically. I like to stick to old tools to give an authentic feel

As for my production speed, I spent 2 years of my life messing around on a composition program back in school called "Opticode Musicshop" and it really gave me a chance to learn the fundamentals of note placement and structure, so its not hard for me to fly through a project provided that I already have an idea of what its going to sound like, but most of the time I really just write as I go and wing it

Im trying to find the kick youre talking about, it might be an overlapped kick note from when I looped the two halves, so Ill do my best to find it

Thank you so much for the feedback

Dude this sounds great, very unique, and this is one of the few cases where your robotic vocoding works (maybe not completely when you reach higher notes), but it definitely sounds wicked. It sounds like if a booting up system would be turned into a "lyrical" song, if you know what I'm sayin'. Great effort.

VibrantMan responds:

Thanks 3manon, I am particularly proud of this track. This is a part of Vocoder experiments that I have been working on, I hope to use it to better effect in the future with better instrumentation.

Apart from the fact it is slightly repetitive, and doesn't have very much composition for that matter, it definitely succeeds at what it's trying to achieve! I really like how you used throatsinging as a vocal bed, I like the vibration and deepness of it. Maybe you could have some more variety on that as well... Maybe try going a bit higher? Also, overall the sheer quality of the song does make up for the repetitiveness, cus you can definitely hear an experienced producer here.

ADR3-N responds:

Thank you! I don't know how this review got lost in my notifications. You're on point. I threw this one together out of some recorded clips as I was singing to hear my own progress, so there is not a lot going on, at least for length. I suppose perhaps I could have made flashier transitions if I didn't want to make it much more melodic or push in too many directions at once
